Strolling by the canal

Today we went for a walk along the towpath by the canal.   We often come here for walks and I like to look at the old barges.  I was really lucky to see a bit of wildlife too!

The swans were first to appear, don't get too close or they hiss!!

Then the ducks.....

Seeing ducks up close and hearing them quack often reminds me of 'The Magic Finger' by Roald Dahl when the family swap places with a family of ducks!

Was really chuffed to see a beautiful heron fishing in the canal!
